Tottenham Hotspur somehow managed to squander a 3-0 lead as they only drew 3-3 with West Ham United this afternoon.

Spurs were blistering in the first half, as Son Heung-min fired home from a stunning Harry Kane pass inside the first minute of the game.

Son returned the favour by setting up Kane to make it 2-0, and Kane added a third from Sergio Reguilon’s cross to seemingly kill the game off.

West Ham came out fighting, and dragged themselves back into the game as Fabian Balbuena and an own goal from Davinson Sanchez gave them a chance.

Just as Spurs though they had got out of jail, Manuel Lanzini smashed a stunning long-range strike into the net, giving West Ham a point at the death.

Tottenham contrived to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory, which will baffle many having turned in such a superb first-half performance.

Fans would be forgiven for feeling pretty downbeat tonight, but there were positives to take – and left back Reguilon was one of them after an impressive display down the left.

Spurs fans took to Twitter to brand Reguilon as ‘amazing’, ‘actually world class’ and ‘a complete player’.

Others think Reguilon is a ‘boss’ and will be ‘massive’ for Tottenham, suggesting that there is no way Ben Davies will get his place back.
