Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have given their take on speculation that Serge Aurier left Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at half time against Liverpool last night.
Tottenham suffered a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at home in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
Aurier started the match for the North London club, but the 28-year-old right-back did not come on for the second half.
According to ESPN, the Ivory Coast international defender – who cost Spurs £23 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017, as reported by BBC Sport – had a ‘bust-up’ with Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho.
Mourinho reportedly singled out Aurier for the goal that Spurs conceded just before the half-time whistle.
The former PSG defender has been playing well for Spurs this season.
According to WhoScored, the right-back has scored two goals and provided one assist in 11 Premier League matches and has played twice in the Europa League for Spurs so far this season.
