Tottenham Hotspur have seen Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg play a starring role in Jose Mourinho’s side this season, fully justifying his move from Southampton.
The Dane has protected the Spurs back four exceptionally, becoming a fan favourite in absolutely no time at all.
Hojbjerg has become one of Mourinho’s most trusted players already, but some may worry about depth behind him.
Harry Winks could fill in if anything happened to Hojbjerg, but he doesn’t possess the same diligent defensive play that has made Hojbjerg so integral.
Now, Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira has told Sky Sports that he wants a move to the Premier League – and couldn’t rule out reuniting with Mourinho.
The pair worked together at Real Madrid from 2010 to 2013, with Khedira scoring eight goals in 126 appearances under Mourinho.

The 33-year-old is out of favour at Juventus and looks set to leave in 2021, but Spurs fans seem split on the idea of him turning up in North London.
Some believe that signing Khedira is a ‘no-brainer’ and would be a ‘huge boost’ given the amount of trophies he has won, adding that he would be better than Winks as cover for Hojbjerg.
Others think that he is past his best and isn’t worth signing anymore, even suggesting that he is trying to lure Mourinho into a reunion by releasing these comments.
