Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies started both of Wales’ Euro 2020 qualifiers over the course of the international break.

Tottenham Hotspur supporters on Twitter have provided a mixed reaction to Ryan Giggs praising Ben Davies during the international break.
Wales manager Giggs stated that left-back Davies is a ‘coach’s dream’ as he lauded the Spurs man for his consistency levels, as posted on the Twitter account of the Last Word on Spurs.
Left-back Davies started both of Wales’ Euro 2020 qualifiers over the course of the international break – both 1-1 draws against Slovakia, and then a better performance at home to Croatia.
Nonetheless, some Spurs fans seemed to agree with Giggs’ comments about Mauricio Pochettino’s player, whilst others simply think he isn’t good enough for a top-four club.
England defender Danny Rose has been starting ahead of Davies at left-back this season, but that could change in these coming weeks because the Welshman did start the defeat against Brighton last time out.

Added with that, Davies’ performance over the international break were pretty strong, especially against Croatia where he provided a top-quality assist for Gareth Bale.
By contrast, Rose struggled in his only appearance for England against the Czech Republic as his confidence will perhaps be a lot lower than his Tottenham teammates.
Nonetheless, Davies will be hoping to produce that consistent performance Giggs was talking about when his Spurs side take on winless Watford at the weekend as club football returns to action.
