According to Calcio Napoli 24, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing midfielder Amadou Diawara.
The 20-year-old has emerged as a fine talent for Napoli this season but suggestions from Italy are that Tottenham want him in North London.
The Italian outlet claims that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is lining up a £33 million move for the starlet.
Pochettino is yet to sign anyone in the Janaury transfer window, despite plenty of speculation about the likes of Lucas Moura and Malcom.
And fans of the North London club are refusing to get excited about signing yet another player.
Diawara is a defensive midfielder according to Transfermarkt, but with Victor Wanyama fit again, you wonder what role he would play under Pochettino this season if he did sign.
With that in mind, perhaps Tottenham should focus on signing players who could give them a boost this season, what with a last-16 Champions League with Juventus on the horizon and all.
