The in-form Tottenham Hotspur forward may be called up for National Service.

Tottenham Hotspur face losing in-form forward Son Heung-min for 21 months to the South Korean army, according to the Sun [March 14th, page 64].
The newspaper reports that all Korean men must complete a period of National Service before their 28th birthday – which for Son is July 2020 – although it claims the Tottenham star could be exempted if he can fire his country to glory in either the World Cup or Asian Games later this year, or the 2019 Asian Cup.
This is not the first time the story has surfaced, however, and curiously follows a run of seven goals and an one assist in four games for Son and an injury to Harry Kane.

Some Spurs fans are therefore not buying it, while others are trying to plot their way out of the situation.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
Former Tottenham left-back Lee Young-pyo was excused from South Korean National Service after helping his country to fourth at the 2002 World Cup, which they hosted along with Japan.
