Gareth Bale reportedly favours Tottenham Hotspur move over Manchester United.

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is favouring a return to Tottenham Hotspur over a potential Manchester United switch, according to reports in Spain.
Bale left Spurs in August 2013 for a then world record fee of £86 million.
The Wales international winger has gone on to win one La Liga title, one Copa del Rey and astoundingly – three Champions League titles.

Bale has struggled with injuries over the past 12 months and missed Real’s clash with Spurs this week.
This has led to suggestions Real could be open to cashing in, and Spurs have a first option to match any offer made by a Premier League club for his signature.
The timing would be perfect for Tottenham to make a splash next summer as they seek to move back into their new stadium, and there is an obvious connection which long time suitors Manchester United cannot match.

Tottenham fans have given a mixed reaction to the reports, doubting the accuracy of the Spanish press, while also asking questions about his wages.
Yet if they can manage it… clearly Bale would be greeted with open arms.
Here is a look at the response from Spurs fans to the reports…
