Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be a big fan of Zaniolo, who is still only 20, and looks an extremely bright prospect.
But Tottenham fans do not think that going after Zaniolo and losing Alderweireld would be bright.
The latest Zaniolo report claims that he now wants a move to Spurs, although previous claims have said that he is keen to stay with Roma.
If Zaniolo was to move to Tottenham he would strengthen a midfield which already looks packed with talent.
Spurs have already brought in Tanguy Ndombele this summer to strengthen their options in the middle of the pitch, with the likes of Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko already at the club.
Zaniolo made 36 appearances for Roma last season, scoring six times and claiming two assists.
