Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for James Maddison.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to bring in any new signings in January, meaning it’s now more than a year since Spurs signed a player.
Mauricio Pochettino is working wonders with the current Spurs side, but it could do with some freshening up come the end of the season.
Some Spurs players are bound to be linked with exits, and one such player is Christian Eriksen, given that his deal ends in the summer of 2020.
As he approaches the final year of his deal, Spurs may be forced to sell Eriksen this summer, and reports suggest a potential replacement has already been identified.
The Mirror claim that Spurs want Leicester City’s James Maddison if Eriksen goes, as they pursue homegrown players for Premier League and Champions League quotas.
Maddison, 22, has impressed in his first Premier League campaign, hitting five goals and four assists for the Foxes to put himself in England contention.

As a set piece maestro, much like Eriksen, Maddison makes sense as a potential target, but it’s fair to say that Spurs fans aren’t too impressed.
Supporters have been taking to Twitter to suggest that Maddison would be ‘another David Bentley’ as he’s just a show pony, with more adding that he’s overrated, whilst claiming that signing him would be a bad move and a sign that the club is going backwards.
