Tottenham Hotspur need to find a striker – and they continue to be linked with a host of potential signings.
Alexander Sorloth is a new name in the frame, with Tottenham surely focusing on a new striker after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat to Everton.
A name strongly linked with Spurs in recent weeks has been Habib Diallo, with Football.London reporting that the Metz hitman wants to join Spurs to play for Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham allegedly wanted to sign Diallo in January, and are now interested once again as they seek a new striker to cover for Harry Kane.
Now, The Sun claim that Tottenham are in talks with Metz over a £13million deal to sign Diallo, meaning a move could materialise.
Diallo, 25, hit 12 goals and three assists in 26 games for Metz last season, and has shown that he is powerful, dangerous in the air and possesses quick feet.

Still, he hasn’t played in the Premier League before, and some Spurs fans are worried that he could be another Vincent Janssen, branding the rumours ‘underwhelming’.
Some believe that Diallo is ‘bang average’, and signing him would suggest that Spurs will only finish eighth this season.
Others think Diallo looks ‘handy’ and ‘quality’, and would like to see him join if it frees up funds to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid.
