Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been very error prone in recent weeks.
Tottenham Hotspur fans have had a mixed response to Mauricio Pochettino’s latest comments about Hugo Lloris.
Lloris has come under fire for his performances in recent weeks, with the French goalkeeper’s form erratic.
Lloris has made more errors this season than is usual for him, but Pochettino was quick to jump to the defence of his goalkeeper at his latest press conference.
He said: “For me today he is one of the best keepers in the world and for me there’s no doubt.”
Pochettino’s comments suggest that he is not looking to replace Lloris any time soon.
But some of the more ruthless Tottenham fans have become concerned that Pochettino is showing too much loyalty to the Frenchman.
Lloris does still retain some support at Tottenham though, as he has been such a solid goalkeeper for them previously.
The French international is regarded as one of the best stoppers in the Premier League, and many Spurs fans feel his current form is just a blip.
Lloris is likely to start tonight, when Tottenham take on Brighton & Hove Albion – as they look to bounce back from their defeat against Manchester City.
