Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino seems at a loss over the team’s poor start to the season.
Tottenham Hotspur fans are understandably worried by Mauricio Pochettino’s comments after the club’s defeat to Newcastle.
Spurs have won just one of their opening three Premier League games. Its hardly the start they wanted.
Pochettino admits there are problems in the squad, and feels not everybody is pulling in the same direction.
The told The Guardian: “The problem is during the week, not when the competition arrives. This type of situation happens in the Premier League.
“That is why you need to create a very good dynamic and strong team bonding and, at the moment, that situation in our group is still far, far away. The group is still unsettled and we need to find solutions.”
Pochettino’s comments are alarming, and remarkably open. Most managers would prefer to keep this type of thing in-house.
Fans believe the buck stops ultimately with Pochettino himself.
It is his job to foster the right atmosphere behind the scenes, and essentially, ‘manage’.
