Tottenham Hotspur have blocked Troy Parrott from representing Ireland at the under-19 European Championships.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited over reports that Mauricio Pochettino has blocked Troy Parrott from playing at the European finals for Ireland.
Parrott had been scheduled to represent his country in the tournament, but Pochettino wants to keep the youngster at Tottenham, according to the Irish Independent.
The Spurs boss is a big fan of the 17-year-old forward, and feels he will benefit hugely from having pre-season with his club teammates.
Parrott is training with Tottenham’s first-team squad this summer.
And Spurs supporters are delighted that Pochettino appears to be keeping a very close eye on the prospect.
Parrott is regarded as the most exciting talent coming through at Tottenham.
The youngster is right on the verge of breaking into Spurs’s senior squad, and he could get game-time next season.
Tottenham currently do not have a natural striker to cover for Harry Kane, and that may be Parrott’s role in the side next season, if he can impress over the coming weeks.
