Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris has come in for some criticism so far this season.
Lloris, who is on £100,000-a-week at White Hart Lane (Telegraph), has come in for criticism from some Tottenham fans this season, with his performances shaky.
The French international has been guilty of making some errors at crucial times this season.
However, Lloris has kept faith in Tottenham’s number one, and his latest comments show the faith that he has in the acrobatic goalkeeper.
“Of course he is the best goalkeeper in the world and by far,” he said.
The comments have not gone down particularly well with Tottenham fans though, as they feel Pochettino is incorrect.
There have been some suggestions from supporters and pundits that Tottenham could upgrade Lloris this summer.
However, with Pochettino having to be cautious with his spending, it seem highly unlikely that he will go out and spend big on a new goalkeeper.
Lloris is set to start for Tottenham one more time this season in the Champions League final, which takes place in just under three weeks’ time.
