Tottenham Hotspur have tied Mauricio Pochettino down to a new contract.

Tottenham Hotspur have today announced the news many fans have been waiting for, as boss Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new five-year contract with the club.
Spurs enjoyed another strong season under Pochettino, qualifying for next season’s Champions League with a top four finish in the Premier League.
Whilst Pochettino remains trophy-less during his time with Spurs, they remain one of the most talented teams in Europe, and it seems like only a matter of time until they do pick up some silverware.

After the FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United, fans were concerned that Pochettino would be leaving the club, but he has shot down all of that speculation this evening.
Pochettino has signed a new five-year contract with Spurs and should be backed heavily in the transfer window in order to take Tottenham forward.

Tottenham fans have been taking to Twitter in order to react to the news, and many are excited about the future, feeling that Daniel Levy must have sanctioned major summer spending in order to convince Pochettino to stay, with fans calling for him to get the chequebook out for new signings.
Others are a little less convinced that Levy will end up giving Pochettino the backing he needs, with one fan claiming the deal was ‘bittersweet’ as Spurs will probably lose Toby Alderweireld to Manchester United, but most fans are seeing positive signs from today’s news.
