The 27-year-old still has a future at Tottenham Hotspur, according to his manager.

Tottenham Hotspur fans aren’t delighted with Mauricio Pochettino’s recent comments.

On Sunday, Pochettino revealed that linked-away Moussa Sissoko still has a future at Tottenham, despite failing to score in 33 appearances last season following a £30 million move from Newcastle United less than 12 months ago.

“He’s training at the training ground. He’s a member of the squad. He’s in our plans for the season and he is for us a member of the squad,” the Argentine said to The Mail.

The 27-year-old winger, whom The Sun claim is now a target of West Bromwich Albion after previously being linked with Everton and Marseille, has it all to do if he wants to become a success at Spurs, but fans of the North London club aren’t convinced about him.

In addition to not scoring in 33 games last season, the France international also only managed to set up three goals which, for a winger, is a rather poor return.

That said, it remains to be seen whether Pochettino’s comments are genuine or not. As one Lilywhites fan pointed out, he may have only said those things to avoid throwing Sissoko under the bus.

But if a sizeable offer was lodged for the Frenchman then it’s hard to believe that Sissoko would still be part of Pochettino’s plans.
