Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be considering bringing in Denis Zakaria from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Sport Bild suggest that Tottenham are in the running to make a move for Borussia Monchengladbach defensive midfielder Zakaria in January.

The 22-year-old has looked like one of the best enforcers in the Bundesliga in recent times, with his performances reportedly catching the eye of Spurs’s scouts.

And Tottenham fans suggest that Zakaria would be a major upgrade on any of their defensive midfield options right now.

Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama have both looked out of sorts over the entirety of 2019 at Tottenham, so Pochettino may well be eager to sign a new defensive midfielder in January.

However, the Spurs boss suggested at his latest press conference that his side could be quiet in the next transfer window, despite their poor form.

Tottenham have disappointed so far this campaign, with the Lilywhites currently sat in ninth place in the Premier League table and badly needing to improve.
