Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips.

Tottenham Hotspur have already added one midfielder this summer in French international Tanguy Ndombele, but Mauricio Pochettino may yet want more.
A playmaker will be needed if Christian Eriksen moves on, whilst another anchor man may still be on the radar as question marks hang over the futures of both Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama.
On Friday, The Mirror added to this notion by reporting that Tottenham are interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, and are launching a move for him.
Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also interested, but Tottenham are believed to be readying their move.
Tottenham have already struck one deal with Leeds this summer by signing winger Jack Clarke before loaning him back to the Championship club, though it would be a different story with Phillips.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of the Championship’s top midfielders under Marcelo Bielsa, and he would certainly fit as an anchor man in Pochettino’s side.

Phillips has huge potential, possibly even to become and England international, and it’s not hard to see why Pochettino may rate Phillips, having seen him star under mentor Bielsa.
Pochettino may be impressed, but Spurs fans seemingly aren’t. Many took to Twitter to call on Tottenham to show more ambition than targeting Phillips, believing that they are too big to be going after more Championship players.
Some have concerns about another midfielder arriving, though a couple understand that Phillips has huge potential, and could prove to be a shrewd purchase for the years ahead.
