Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left disappointed with Julian Brandt’s decision to join Borussia Dortmund.

Bleacher Report have suggested that Bayer Leverkusen have now confirmed that Brandt will be leaving to join Dortmund, after he had been linked with Tottenham earlier in the transfer window.

The Daily Mail claimed that Spurs were prepared to pay the release clause in Brandt’s contract, which stood at £21.5 million.

However, Tottenham have missed out on the German international now.

And some Spurs are angry and Brandt for heading elsewhere, as they feel he would have been an excellent addition.

Tottenham are still looking to make their first senior signing of the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino keen to make additions.

It has been well over a year since Tottenham last brought in a new face, but Pochettino is keen to improve his squad this summer.
