Barcelona are interested in swapping Jordi Alba for Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose, according to reports in Spain.

It might be a prime example that the so-called silly season is upon us, but Tottenham Hotspur fans are excited nonetheless – and rightly so.

But it seems like Barcelona are willing to throw a spanner in the works and suffice to say that fans of the North London club are more than open to the idea of swapping Rose for the 28-year-old – even if it’s a paella in the sky.

Tottenham fans are right. Taking Alba in a straight swap deal is probably the better move than selling to United for £50 million.
Presumably Spurs and the Red Devils will look to mount a much more serious Premier League title challenge next season and having a player of Rose’s talent would certainly give Jose Mourinho and co an edge.
