Tottenham Hotspur picked up a point this evening as they drew 0-0 against London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Spurs had the chance to go back to the top of the table, and took it with a draw in a tight clash with their bitter rivals.

Spurs looked a threat in the first half, but retreated in the second as they ground out a 0-0 draw, leapfrogging Liverpool at the top of the table.

It wasn’t a game that will live long in the memory, and few will want to watch it back, but Jose Mourinho will be delighted with a clean sheet – especially with Joe Rodon making his first start.

Toby Alderweireld’s injury meant Rodon was given a chance to partner Eric Dier at the back, making his first start for the club since joining from Swansea City last month.

Rodon was a little nervy early on, and was given a reprieve when he gave the ball away inside his own box, but Timo Werner’s goal was ruled out.

Rodon also got away with another error as Olivier Giroud failed to capitalise on a weak header to Hugo Lloris, but he was composed for large spells and coped brilliantly with the in-form Tammy Abraham.

Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to react to Rodon’s display, suggesting that Tottenham may have struck told with the youngster.

Others called him ‘the future’ and a ‘great prospect’, believing that he looks to be a great signing and could be similar to Michael Dawson.
