Tottenham Hotspur look set to make their second signing of the summer – and it’s a deal that few could have predicted.
Spurs have already wrapped up the signing of Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and a goalkeeper is now coming in.
The Independent report that Joe Hart is today undergoing a medical with Tottenham ahead of signing a two-year deal.
Hart has left Burnley upon the expiration of his contract, and after searching for a new club, he looks set for a move to North London.
The 33-year-old has struggled since 2016, as he was ditched by Pep Guardiola and failed to impress on loan at Torino and then West Ham United.
Hart was mostly a backup at Burnley, and has now had to cut his wage demands to take less than the £50,000-a-week he was earning at Turf Moor.

With Spurs needing a homegrown goalkeeper, Hart makes sense for Jose Mourinho and will come in as competition for Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga.
Spurs fans seem to like the move, believing that Hart is another leader for Tottenham to bring in alongside Hojbjerg.
Others think that Hart is an upgrade on Michel Vorm, and whilst he has declined in recent times, he is still a smart signing for Spurs given his homegrown status.
