Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised the performance of J’Neil Bennett in their UEFA Youth League thrashing of Red Star Belgrade.

It was a great day for Tottenham with a number of their senior players and youngsters catching the eye.

Bennett was certainly one of the most impressive performers for either side on the day, as the 17-year-old tormented Red Star’s defence throughout.

Spurs had failed to win either of their opening two matches in the Youth League up until this stage, but Bennett’s return from injury seemed to make them much more of a threat going forward.

The academy star was a box of tricks, and he linked brilliant with Troy Parrott, who ended up scoring four goals, in particular.

Bennett also got his name on the scoresheet, in what was a dominant victory for Tottenham’s teenagers.

And many supporters felt that Bennett deserved some praise, even though Parrott got all the headlines for his goalscoring exploits.
