Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the additions of Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale, but there could still be more arrivals.
Jose Mourinho certainly needs another centre back and a striker, and a rather surprise rumour has emerged over the weekend.
ESPN report that Tottenham want to sign Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard, but only if Dele Alli moves on.
Alli is out of favour and hasn’t been in the Spurs squad for their last two games, and there’s a slim chance he’s moved on before the transfer deadline.
If Alli does go, then Mourinho may seek a reunion with United midfielder Lingard, having previously worked with him at Old Trafford.
Lingard, 27, wasn’t even on the United bench as they lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace on Saturday, and he may need to move on for regular playing time elsewhere.

Spurs don’t really need Lingard right now though, especially with Mourinho claiming that Alli is falling victim to Tottenham’s squad being too big.
Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumour, and they’re unsurprisingly unimpressed given Lingard’s lack of impact at United over the last 18 months.
Many believe that Lingard is a ‘massive downgrade’ on Alli, with a feeling that Spurs are better off trying to revitalise Alli rather than sell him and bring in Lingard.
Others urged Daniel Levy not to sanction a deal, branding a potential move for Lingard ‘awful’ due to his poor form.
