Tottenham Hotspur were comfortably beaten on Saturday evening, losing 3-0 away at Premier League title favourites Manchester City.
Spurs travelled to the Etihad Stadium having beaten West Bromwich Albion 2-0 last weekend, but couldn’t produce a repeat performance.
Rodri opened the scoring from the penalty spot as Ilkay Gundogan was brought down, before Gundogan added a second himself after the break.
Gundogan then raced clear to add a third, giving City a very comfortable win as their pursuit of the title continues.
For Spurs, that’s now four defeats in the last five, and having once been top of the table, Tottenham are now 17 points off top spot.
Fans aren’t especially happy with Jose Mourinho right now, with Spurs plummeting to ninth in the Premier League table – but they did find something to be encouraged by last night.

Defender Japhet Tanganga was handed a shock start at right back, and whilst Spurs did concede three goals, Tanganga did himself no harm with a strong display.
The 21-year-old left fans calling him ‘class’ following a ‘masterclass’ display, with some believing Spurs need him in the first team regularly now, claiming him to be Tottenham’s best defender.
