Back in the team soon?
Vertonghen is 32 years of age, but the Belgian remains one of the best central defenders in the Premier League.
One should not be surprised if Pochettino brings the former Ajax star back in the team soon.
Meanwhile, former Manchester United and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that Tottenham can win the Premier League title this season.
The Telegraph quotes Mourinho as saying when asked which teams can win the league title this season: “Man City, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City B team.
“When I looked at the bench [against West Ham], the players not involved, I think the [City] B team could fight for the title.”
