Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane gave Mauricio Pochettino’s side the lead at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur fans feel that Harry Kane is correct in his criticism of his side’s performance against Liverpool.
Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool at the weekend, as they were unable to hold on to their lead at Anfield.
Kane had put Tottenham in front, but Spurs dropped deeper and deeper as they looked to protect their advantage.
After the match Kane was critical of Tottenham’s performance to the London Evening Standard.
The striker suggested that Spurs ‘didn’t play their natural game’ and that they could not see the defeat as a step forward, even though they did show increased resilience.
“I felt, especially [in the] second half, we could have kept the ball better, which would have allowed us to take the pressure off ourselves instead of getting pinned deep,” Kane said.
“Balls in the box kept coming and coming. I felt we could have been a bit braver in that aspect. When we went 2-1 down, we started to do it better, create two or three chances towards the end, but it was too late.”he said. “I don’t think [there were positives].
“Whenever you lose, you can never be encouraged. We battled, but you expect that at this level in every game. It’s disappointing being 1-0 up at half-time, being ahead and not being able to see it through.”
And Spurs fans are questioning why Kane was able to see that his side were too defensive, but Mauricio Pochettino wasn’t.
Tottenham’s defeat to Liverpool has left them sat in 11th place in the Premier League table, after what has been a dire start to the campaign.
