Tottenham Hotspur fans think that ex-Liverpool boss Graeme Souness has just done Mauricio Pochettino’s team talk for them, ahead of the Champions League final.

Souness was speaking to Balls.IE when he suggested that Tottenham were ‘fortunate’ to be in the Champions League final.

The Scot also claimed that Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen are the only Tottenham players that would get into Liverpool’s starting line-up.

And Spurs fans want their side to use Souness’ comments as added motivation to beat Liverpool on Saturday.

Spurs do head into the Champions League final as underdogs, but it is hard to argue that their place in Madrid isn’t warranted.

Tottenham have shown brilliant grit and determination to reach this stage, despite having many of their key players out through injury.

Spurs have got through one of the most difficult groups in this year’s Champions League, and they have also dispatched with the likes of Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and Ajax in the knockout stages.

If Spurs can win on Saturday it will be the first piece of major silverware that they have lifted since 2008.
