Tottenham Hotspur will face Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The Champions League last-16 tie between Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus will be a very special one for Fernando Llorente.
The 32-year-old Spain international striker was on the books of Italian giants Juventus from the summer of 2013 until the end of the 2014-15 season.
During his time at the Turin club, Llorente won Serie A twice and also reached the final of the Champions League once.
As reported by The Mirror, the striker scored 27 goals in 91 appearances for Juventus.
Llorente joined Tottenham in the summer of 2017 from Premier League rivals Swansea City for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £12 million.
The former Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla striker has struggled for playing time at Spurs so far this season, and he may not get to turn out against Juventus in the Champions League last-16 tie.
Ahead of Tuesday evening’s first leg in Turin, Llorente has made some very interesting comments, with The Mirror quoting him as saying that he would love to return to Juventus
As quoted by Football Italia, the Spanish striker has also said that he will not celebrate against Juve if he scores.
Tottenham fans have given their reaction to Llorente’s comments, and they are not happy.
