Lamela provided the assist for Tottenham Hotspur’s final goal.

Tottenham Hotspur maintained their immaculate start to the new Premier League season with a 3-1 win against Fulham on Saturday.
Goals from Lucas Moura, Kieran Trippier and Harry Kane – his first ever in the top flight throughout the month of August – secured the points for Tottenham, who had been pegged back by a familiar foe in Aleksandar Mitrovic.
But it is the performance of another player – the one whose driving run and pass created Kane’s strike – that is drawing the plaudits from some Spurs fans on Twitter.
Erik Lamela has had his fair share of detractors of late, but the following supporters hope the Argentine’s impressive cameo will finally put a stop to that.
This is what they’re saying…
Schteeve @pipecamp: Any Spurs fans that hate on Lamela can get ******
Eoin O’Shea @EoinTHFC: Spurs fans who don’t like Lamela haven’t a ******* notion *******
Gary @garydonTHFC: Unpopular tweet, but Lamela is ******* banging this #COYS
Lamela has seen each of his previous two campaigns disrupted by injury, but was one of Tottenham’s key players before then – and scored or assisted 21 goals in his last full season for the club.
