Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter agree that Eric Dier endured a disappointing cameo yesterday.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have criticised Eric Dier on Twitter following his near-disastrous cameo in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Stoke City.
With Tottenham leading by a goal thanks to Christian Eriksen’s second-half brace, Dier replaced Victor Wanyama in midfield on 82 minutes.
But the England international made a mistake which almost cost Spurs a goal – and two points – within minutes of replacing his Kenyan team-mate.
And fans of the North London club are in agreement on Twitter that it was a terrible cameo from the 24-year-old who, according to The Telegraph, is worth around £50 million.

Overall it was a shaky performance from the Lilywhites, who are nine points clear of Chelsea in the race for a top-four finish nonetheless.
Not only did Dier almost cost them the victory, but goalkeeper Hugo Lloris played his part in making the win as hard as possible by gifting Mame Biram Diouf a second-half equaliser.
The result is always the most important thing, but the performance doesn’t bode well and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will know that similar antics in the FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United on April 21 could see them punished in a big way.
