Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is set to come back from injury at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur fans are relieved that Dele Alli is set to return for their match against Arsenal.

The Telegraph claim that Alli is fit enough to play for Tottenham on Sunday, after recovering from a hamstring issue which has kept him out for the season so far.

It is not yet clear just how match sharp Alli is, as he missed a sizeable chunk of pre-season.

But Spurs fans are hoping that Alli comes back into their starting line-up at the weekend, as they feel his creativity has been missed.

Tottenham certainly could have done with Alli’s touch and skill around the box against Newcastle United in their last match.

Newcastle beat Spurs 1-0, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side failing to impress.

Spurs lacked a playmaker like Alli, with Christian Eriksen also on the bench.

Alli’s form was actually fairly poor towards the back end of last season, but there is real hope that his return could be the spark needed for Tottenham to click back into gear.
