Gareth Bale put Spurs ahead early on as he turned home Son Heung-min’s cross, and Bale found Harry Kane to make it 2-0.
Lucas Moura fired home Sergio Reguilon’s cross, and Bale added gloss with a superb finish from Son’s pass.
Jose Mourinho will be delighted with the manner of the victory, as Spurs were dangerous going forward and solid at the back.
Spurs kept a fine clean sheet against the Clarets, and centre back Davinson Sanchez played a key role in that defensive display.

The Colombian has been in and out of form this season, often receiving criticism from fans for his inconsistent displays.
Today though, fans called him exceptional and faultless, urging him to carry today’s display into other games in order to become a top defender.
