Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to David Beckham’s comments about Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Beckham watched Tottenham in action against London rivals Crystal Palace at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder saw a rampant Spurs side hammer Palace 4-0 at home.
Son Heung-min was the star of the show for the home team, as the South Korea international attacker scored two goals.
After the match, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino disclosed what former England international Beckham – who won the league title six times, the FA Cup twice and the Champions League once with United, La Liga once with Madrid, and the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain in 2012-13 – told him about the North London club’s stadium and his team.
Pochettino told The Sun: “I was talking with Beckham after the game and he said he wished he still played and that he played for Tottenham because this stadium is amazing.”
