Tottenham Hotspur are going through something of a manic few days.
On Sunday, they announced their intention to join the breakaway Super League, angering their loyal supporters in the process.
By Monday lunchtime, Spurs had made another announcement, this time confirming that Jose Mourinho has lost his job as Tottenham boss.
Daniel Levy will have to go and find a new manager for next season, with Ryan Mason taking charge until the end of the campaign.
Intriguingly, Mourinho’s exit has sparked a reaction out of Danny Rose, as the left back has asked to return to first-team training in light of Mourinho’s exit according to The Telegraph.
Rose, 30, had been completely frozen out by Mourinho, and hasn’t played a game since returning from his loan spell at Newcastle United last summer.

The left back is out of contract this summer and isn’t registered for Premier League action, so Rose may just want to return to training to get himself ready for a move or prove that Spurs should keep him.
Tottenham fans have been taking to Twitter to react to the rumour, with some delighted as they want Rose to play against Manchester City on Sunday, and at the very least should be able to train and get himself ready for a next move after years of service to Spurs.
Others think it would be ‘pointless’ because Rose can’t play in the Premier League, and feel that Rose is ultimately finished as a Tottenham player even with Mourinho gone.
