Harry Kane grabbed an 88th-minute winner to snatch all three points for Tottenham and propel them into the top four, where they remain after Chelsea lost at Manchester United later in the day.

Christian Eriksen of Spurs shoots at goal during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United at Wembley Stadium on January 4, 2018 in London, England.

It’s probably safe to say that no Tottenham fan will be alarmed over his form, even if he did look a shadow of himself at Selhurst Park.

Eriksen, an £11.5 million signing in 2013, has been one of the Lilywhites’ most consistent performers in recent years, and so long as Mauricio Pochettino’s side won the game today, then there is very little to be concerned about in the long term.

He is a big-game player for Tottenham and with the visit of Juventus looming large in two weeks, he’ll surely be back to his best by the time the Italians travel to Wembley.
