Tottenham Hotspur ended the season with a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, meaning they finished in sixth place in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho has guided his side into the Europa League, and the attention will soon turn to the transfer window.

Spurs do need reinforcements this summer, but will have to be clever due to their limited transfer budget – and one new rumour emerged over the weekend.

The Sun reported that Tottenham are keen to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, with Daniel Levy allegedly preparing a bid.

The Cherries have been relegated, and with Wilson earning £110,000-a-week at the Vitality Stadium, he is likely to be sold.

Spurs allegedly want to try their luck with a £10million move, viewing the 28-year-old as potential cover and competition for Harry Kane.

Wilson hit eight goals and one assist in 35 games this season, but struggled for consistency as Bournemouth’s attack faltered this season.

Wilson did 14 goals in the 2018-19 campaign though, meaning Mourinho may feel that he can get the striker back to his best.

Spurs fans have now taken to Twitter to react to the rumour, suggesting that signing Wilson would be ‘perfect’ as cover for competition for Kane whilst coming cheaper than expected thanks to Bournemouth’s relegation.
