Armando Shashoua of Tottenham Hotspur looks on during the UEFA Youth League match between PAOK and Tottenham Hotspur at Toumba Stadium on February 19, 2019 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Armando Shashoua’s performance for them in the EFL Trophy last night.

Tottenham were beaten 2-1 by Ipswich Town yesterday, but Shashoua did manage to get himself on the scoresheet.

The 18-year-old Tottenham attacking midfielder took his goal well to put his side in front at Portman Road.

Although Ipswich eventually turned the game around against Spurs, Shashoua still did enough to earn praise from the Lilywhites supporters who watched.

Shashoua has been promoted to Tottenham’s under-23 side this season after previously captaining the under-18’s.

The playmaker is considered a bright prospect at Spurs, although he is still some way away from the first-team squad.

Shashoua wasn’t one of the youngsters that Tottenham took on pre-season tour with them over the summer.

Tottenham still have games against Gillingham and Colchester United to play in the EFL Trophy this season.
