Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for West Ham United striker Andy Carroll.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are looking at the possibility of securing the services of the former Liverpool and Newcastle United striker in the January transfer window.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Spurs are planning a £2 million move for the England international striker.

Tottenham fans, though, do not want the 30-year-old at Wembley Stadium this month and are against any potential transfer, as shown in the posts on Twitter below.

True, Tottenham need a striker due to the injury suffered by Harry Kane and the unavailability of South Korea international Son Heung-min due to the Asian Cup, but Carroll is not the answer.

After all, the West Ham striker has a poor injury record, and his playing style is unlikely to suit the way Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino sets up his team.

Moreover, West Ham and Tottenham are London rivals, and it is hard to see the Hammers help out Spurs in their time of need.
