Tottenham Hotspur fans fear that they have missed out on a bargain, with Joao Moutinho set to sign for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Spurs have been linked with Moutinho in almost every transfer window for a number of years, but they never managed to get a deal over the line for the midfielder.

Wolves, on the other hand, are set to sign the 31-year-old from Monaco for £5 million later today, as reported by the Express and Star.

And some Spurs fans are disappointed that Mauricio Pochettino’s side didn’t rival Wolves for the Portuguese international.

Spurs are thought to be keen to bring in a central midfielder this summer, but they have endured a frustrating window so far.

Tottenham are yet to make a signing, with Pochettino’s men failing to get a deal over the line for any of their targets.

Tottenham are now under pressure to have a busy couple of weeks, as they look to bring in added quality.

Wolves, meanwhile, have already made some notable captures this summer, and Moutinho should add further quality to their squad.
