Wilmar Barrios probably did his prospects of a move no Tottenham no favours.

Tottenham Hotspur fans were left unconvinced by rumoured potential signing Wilmar Barrios’ performance in the Copa Libertadores final.
Barrios was in action for Boca Juniors against rivals River Plate in the re-arranged second leg at the Bernabeu.
The Colombia international’s night ended early. He was sent off for stamping on his opponent.
Barrios has been linked repeatedly with signing for Tottenham Hotspur, with The Sun claiming they wanted to pay £25 million for him.
The midfielder’s intention was always to see out the end of the Libertadores with Boca, and potentially move in January.

Tottenham certainly need a new defensive midfielder, and Barrios’ dogged approach fits the bill.
However his indiscipline in big games is a big reason for the club not to make the move.

He was sent off for a stamp against River, and was lucky not to be red carded against England at the World Cup for a headbutt.
Tottenham fans watching the Libertadores final were left underwhelmed, with many hoping the deal does not happen in January…
