Tottenham Hotspur fans do not appear to be at all enthused about the reports that they have agreed terms with Nice youngster Vincent Marcel.
Foot Mercato claim that Marcel is set to move to Spurs in the near future – after being offered a five-year deal by Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
However, Tottenham fans were hoping for more proven names to be brought in this year.
Spurs have made it into the Champions League for the second campaign running, but their transfer plans are yet to really take shape.
And there is frustration that a more high profile name is not on their list, ahead of Marcel.
Spurs have brought in both Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Clinton Njie from France in recent times, and both the youngsters have failed to make much of an impact.
And Spurs fans feel that Marcel is destined to struggle in North London too.
Marcel only made five starts for Nice in Ligue 1 last term, with his talents still relatively unknown.
Tottenham are yet to make a signing this summer, with Pochettino still assessing his options.
