Tottenham Hotspur defeated Middlesbrough in the Premier League earlier today, with a well-earned 2-1 victory at the Riverside.
The result was what they deserved and there was no doubt about who starred for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Heung-min Son was absolutely fantastic once again for Spurs. The South Korean, who nearly got sold in the summer, has been Tottenham’s outstanding player so far this season and he netted an incredible brace in the game.
But he was not the only player who performed well.

Before the game plenty of talk centred around striker Vincent Janssen. The Dutch international was stepping in for the injured talisman Harry Kane and had big shoes to fill.
He had a good game. The striker, signed from AZ Alkmaar in the summer, was brilliant with his back to goal and even bagged himself an assist in what was a top performance from the Kane replacement.

But yet again it looked as though he may be struggling to find the goals that Kane brings for Spurs.
Today it was fine, as Son was firing, but soon he needs to start adding Premier League goals to his repertoire if he is to be a suitable replacement for Kane.
