Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is not set to travel to Juventus on Tuesday.

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans are concerned about Toby Alderweireld being left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s Champions League squad to face Juventus.
The Belgian international has been out for a lengthy period of time, but is working his way back to full health now.

Alderweireld played against Newport County in the FA Cup last week, but did not feature against Arsenal at the weekend, and will not play against Juventus on Tuesday.
The Daily Telegraph suggest that Alderweireld’s absence could put his future at Spurs into fresh doubt, and some Tottenham fans are concerned about the rumours, while others are confident that Pochettino is just playing it safe with the centre-back.
Alderweireld’s contract at Spurs is due to expire at the end of next season, and Pochettino is working on a deal to tie the £11.5 million signing from Atletico Madrid down (Daily Mail).
Alderweireld is a hugely important player for Spurs, and if he did move on it would be a major blow to the north London side.
