Real raided Tottenham in 2013 for Gareth Bale, paying a world record fee at the time of £86 million.

Kane unlike Bale came through Tottenham’s academy, and has the attraction of leading Tottenham into their new stadium to look forward to next season.
Spurs play Real Madrid twice over the next month in the Champions League, and it is a chance for the North London side to slug it out with the holders and demonstrate that Kane should stay put.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is known for driving a hard bargain, and £177 million would potentially not even be enough to tempt him into a sale.
