Tottenham are now laying the pitch at their new ground.
Tottenham fans had hoped their new stadium would be ready by now, but there is still no opening date set.
Instead supporters are having to make do with incremental updates about the progress which is being made.
Yesterday something substantial happened. Tottenham began laying the pitch for the first time.
Tottenham’s official website described it as a ‘historic moment’, with the turf having been shipped in from Holland.
Tottenham had been due to open the stadium in September before this date was put back due to electrical issues, with more safety dates required.
The pitch being laid was subsequently put back, but the fact it is now being put in is an encouraging sign.
Spurs have maintained they are hopeful the new ground will be ready by the end of 2018.
