Tottenham midfielder has moved to Schalke on loan.
Leicester’s Marc Albrighton and Tottenham’s Nabil Bentaleb
Nabil Bentaleb has clinched his move to Schalke, with the German side signing the Tottenham midfielder on a season long loan.
Spurs confirmed the news on their official website, while German newspaper BILD reported that Schalke have a £16 million option to buy the midfielder.

Bentaleb was quickly joined by ex-teammate Benjamin Stambouli, who spent a year at White Hart Lane, and signed permanently for Schalke from PSG yesterday.
It is just a year since Bentaleb signed an extended contract at Spurs, and while a loan means his story at the club is not necessarily over, it certainly seems as though it is, after barely featuring last season.

With Victor Wanyama signed and Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele available, Spurs are strong in central midfield, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino had no problem discarding the Algerian.
Yet at just 21, fans have already seen how talented Bentaleb is, and the potential is there for him to get a lot better.

£16 million is a great fee to eventually get for a player who has come through their academy, but the worry is that the club are making a mistake.
Supporters were split on social media regarding Bentaleb’s exit, with one fan comparing his departure to Manchester United losing Paul Pogba in 2012, and regretting it.
