Meyer was selected to start for Germany, as the overcame the Three Lions’ challenge on penalties.
The Schalke midfielder may not have got on the scoresheet, but his performance still caught the eye.
Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Meyer, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side keeping a keen eye on the midfielder for a number of years.
Spurs are yet to make their move to snap up the youngster, but he is believed to be on their radar.
Meyer’s Germany side made it into the final of the under-21 European Championships, after their victory over England yesterday.
England scored their goals through Demarai Gray and Tammy Abraham, but ultimately crashed out of the tournament on spot kicks.
