Pochettino sounded like a frustrated man, following back-to-back defeats for his side in recent times.
And his quotes about Tottenham not being contenders for the title drew some worried comments on social media.
Pochettino said to Football.London: “We are not realistic contenders in any single competition, that is my view. If we show the same face as against Watford, it’s impossible to be a contender. If we show the face of Liverpool it will be so difficult. If we show some of what we did against Manchester United then maybe yes.
“I told you after the Watford game, I was so worried and upset after the defeat. I was so disappointed with everything but not after Liverpool. When you play against a team who fought for the Premier League and play the Champions League final vs Real Madrid last season.
“And then signed players. and tried again to win titles and be one of the best teams in Europea. there’s nothing to complain about. I was disappointed with the result but not the performance.”
Tottenham fans are now concerned that Pochettino’s frustrations are starting to boil.
And some Spurs supporters fear that the Argentine boss could be on his way out, unless he receives more backing.
Tottenham have lost consecutive matches to Liverpool and Watford in recent times, which has led to concerns rising.
Spurs are in action later this evening, when they take on Inter Milan at the San Siro in the Champions League.
