A tough end to the month for Tottenham Hotspur may have become a little simpler after Liverpool’s Sadio Mane picked up an injury on international duty.

After playing Bournemouth this weekend, Spurs face Real Madrid and then Liverpool.

Tottenham’s last game against Liverpool ended in a 2-0 defeat, with Mane netting both goals with a clinical performance at Anfield.

News broke yesterday that Mane faces six weeks on the sidelines after he picked up an injury on international duty for Senegal, BBC Sport reported.

It is a tough blow for Liverpool, who had just welcomed Mane back to action after he missed three games to suspension after his red card against Manchester City.

While never a good look to gloat at an injury of an opposition player, Tottenham fans have reacted with acknowledgement their upcoming game against Liverpool has been made easier.

Liverpool still have plenty of dangerous attacking options, especially with Coutinho back in the fold, but Mane’s double in the match against Spurs made him the dangerman the Lilywhites were most afraid of.
